As an only child who grew up with internet and computer classes, my parents rely on me when it comes to computer stuff. Sometimes I find it weird how my parents are so clueless with computers, when they're still working today (my dad is a lawyer and my mom works in real estate). You'd think that since my parents are able to afford the costly things in life, they'd be able to know how to use them, right?

Well...not really. Hah. Even when I was away in college, they'd still call me and ask questions about why the printer wasn't working, or why the computer wasn't responding, etc. I've gotten used to it but it can get pretty irritating sometimes, especially when I'm busy writing term papers or studying.

One of the things my parents are so stubborn about is their chosen browser. No matter how many times I try installing Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome, they'd still settle with their Internet Explorer filled with so many ads. And yet they wonder why it takes them forever to use it. I've tried explaining to them that Internet Explorer isn't as reliable as Firefox or Chrome, but they won't listen to me. *sigh*

I've never felt so angry all my life. Lord, why do stupid people exist? Yes, I said it: STUPID. Is it really that hard to use your brain first so you can think of the consequences? Are the rioters and looters that stupid?

People keep telling me that I'm lucky because I'm living a few towns away from London because I won't be vulnerable to being hurt from the riots, or being a victim of the looting. I don't feel thankful at all. Why? Because it is MY right to live a peaceful life. I work my arse off, trying to pay off the thousands of debts I acquired from using student loans when I was still an undergraduate. Now, I'm stuck in a dayjob which doesn't offer me a high salary, which is why I write custom essays for my clients at night. Did anybody ever hear me complain? No, because I was mature enough to face the reality that life isn't fair. Sure, the Parliament are a bunch of pr*cks, and there are corrupt government officials who steals my money. I don't condone it, but I've learned how to cope. I've learned that instead of whining and always blaming others, I should try to find ways how to survive independently.

I just wish these young rioters will start having common sense. Violence is not the answer. And these rioting and looting events are really pissing me off, because their chosen mode of action is affecting civilians like me, who don't deserve this kind of violence. They're destroying everything.
